Administrators

Champion Your Students' Voice

Support Legal, Life-Giving Initiatives

As an administrator, you play a key role in empowering students to lead, serve, and take initiative in what matters most to them. The Jesus Clubs is a legal, student-led initiative that gives young people an opportunity to share their faith, serve their campus, and create a safe space for their peers. Across the U.S. and around the world, administrators are seeing the positive impact of these clubs—improved campus culture, increased engagement, and stories of real transformation.

Allowing a Jesus Club on your campus is not only legal—it’s an opportunity to honor student voice, champion character-building, and uphold the law that protects their right to express their faith.

Make In Impact

Encourage Student Leaders

Today’s students care deeply about issues like faith, purpose, and belonging. Jesus Clubs provide a positive, proactive way for students to share and grow in their faith respectfully and legally. These clubs are always student-initiated and student-led. Your support fosters a healthy school environment where leadership, initiative, and responsibility can grow—regardless of belief or background.

Protect Student Rights

The Equal Access Act says that if a school allows any non-curricular clubs—like chess, drama, or LGBTQ+—it must also allow student-initiated, faith-based clubs. These clubs have the same access to rooms, resources, promotion, and involvement of guest speakers and volunteers. Policies and administrative support help clubs operate legally and protect student rights.

Catalyze Positive Impact

Jesus Clubs help improve campus culture. At a school with consistent administration support, a principal reported higher graduation rates, less drug use, violence, and bullying. Jesus Clubs promote authentic faith, kindness, service, prayer, and healthy peer leadership. Your partnership creates space for students to grow in faith, responsibility, purpose, and care for others.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Under the Equal Access Act (1984), if your public middle or high school allows non-curricular student clubs of any kind, it must allow student-led religious clubs with equal access and support.
Yes. Whatever privileges are extended to other student clubs must also be extended to faith-based ones. If any club can have a guest speaker, community volunteer, or promote their club through announcements, so can a Jesus Club.
Your role is to ensure students’ legal rights are protected and treated fairly. This includes allowing access to meeting space, promotion opportunities, and support for events—as long as the same is allowed for other clubs.

Faith-based expression, when student-led, is protected by law. Standing behind the law and supporting free student expression builds trust and credibility with your student body and families. The key is fair application of access—not promoting or suppressing any specific view.

Courts have ruled that public schools may not restrict student-led clubs based on content or belief. Policies that ban faith-based clubs while allowing others (even unintentionally) violate federal law.
